Kish Airport

The beautiful island of Kish has long been of interest to tourists due to its unique features such as beautiful coral beaches and clear waters. For this reason, the island was visited by expert delegations in 1970 and was selected as an international tourist center. This event led to the development of the island on the agenda, so in 1973, a village called Masheh in the northeast of Kish was selected to build a well-equipped airport on the island. The main construction of Kish airport was completed in 1977 and after several private openings, the airport was officially opened on October 29, 1977, with the landing of the first passenger plane of Concord .

Later, in 1994, by equipping Kish airport runway with night lights, night flights were added to the airport's schedule. Kish airport at that time was one of the most important and busiest airports in the country after Mehrabad Airport in Tehran .

Kish International Airport is owned by Kish Free Zone Organization .

Airport facilities :.

The airport has 4 different terminals serving both domestic and international flights at the same time. The domestic flight terminal has an area of 9500 square meters and welcomes passengers from 6 a.m. to 24 a.m. The international flight terminal also has an area of 4,000 square meters. This terminal is made up of two parts. Terminal 1 is for departures and Terminal 2 is for incoming flights .

Kish International Shop offers facilities such as medical emergency, restaurant, parking area, cargo and packing services, banking and exchange services, postal services as well as special stores for buying souvenirs in Kish Island or other purchases. You can also use hotels that are built close to the airport .
